The day started with a threat of rain and rain it did. Everyone attending this event drove through the rain to the meeting location. There were 6 Corvettes and 6 steel cars that arrived. When the time came to depart the rain had stopped and the hour drive on back roads to dinner was excellent. We arrived early so that we could enjoy some tailgating before dinner along with many of the regulars. This appears to be a tradition at Bonge’s Tavern which as been in business since 1934. Members had brought appetizers for everyone to enjoy while we tailgated. At 4:30 the doors opened and we headed inside for dinner. Everyone had a wonderful time.
