Dream Cars

– Indianapolis Musesm Of Art

On May 16th members of the club met at the Indianapolis Museum of Art for a guided tour of the “Dream Cars – Innovative Design, Visionary Ideas” Exhibit. The tour was very informative and the Cars on display were exceptional. The exhibit included the 1951 Le Sabre XP-8 that became Harley J. Earl’s personal car. Mr. Earl was the designer and is known as the father of the Corvette. Several other cars he designed were also on display. Also a 1934 Edsel Ford type 40 speedster, a 1970 Lancia Bertone and a 1934 Bugatti among others. After the tour all the Corvettes lined up at the front of the Museum for photos and then it was caravan to Green Street Pub in Brownsburg for lunch. Everyone had a great time. A special Thank you goes out to Eva and Allan for organizing this great event for the members.
